Parent Forum - Navigating the Year 10-12 Journey
The transition from Year 10 to Year 11, to Year 12 provides an array of opportunities and challenges for every child ... and parent. It is so important that, as parents, we walk beside our children to help them become independent and believe in their self-worth. It is not only a reflection of the parent and child relationship, but also it impacts the changing relationship your child will have with their teachers and their academic focus.
This seminar presented by Suzanne Kerr of The Parent Code is an opportunity for parents to be guided through the final three years of school and to unpack the academic and social emotional demands that their child will face.
Suzanne has knowledge, experience and expertise to address the social, emotional and academic domains of raising adolescents. She has the combination of a Masters of Student Well-being from Melbourne University, 30 years of teaching and raising three children. A passionate educator, Suzanne believes that empowering parents and strengthening the link between the school and the parent community is key to protecting and raising capable and resilient children.
