Gary's talk will showcase some of the many benefits of learning music during childhood and adolescence. Included in his presentation will be an explanation ofresearch he has undertaken with children learning musical instruments & voice, and the attributes that impact on musical development and more general development during childhood and adolescence.

What factors impact on a long term commitment to participate in music?
